LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV)- The new Broadway bridge is adding a sixteen foot wide lane for bikers and pedestrians.
The bike lane starts at the Arkansas River trail on both sides of the bridge.
The new protected lane gives bikers and runners an easier way to get to the downtown area, it's also another way to cross the river from Little Rock to Dickey Stephens park.
Everett Gooch, manager at Bobby's bike hike tours, is positive it will bring in more customers, "an infrastructure like that just get's more people out riding maybe commuting to work, cruising to dinner, or stopping by one of our breweries that have bike racks."
