Arkansas River Trail

The Arkansas River Trail  is part of everyday life at Rockwater Village. The 88-mile trail overlooks the beautiful Arkansas River and is connected to the Big Dam Bridge (the nation's longest pedestrian-only bridge), where you can bike, run or walk your way around Little Rock and North Little Rock. Rockwater residents love walking and biking the trail and can see sights like the Clinton Presidential Library, Little Rock's skyline, the Broadway Bridge, Riverfront Park, wildlife on the Arkansas River, lush foliage in Two Rivers Park, and the brand new Big Rock Quarry Bike Park and Pump Track.

According to city leaders in Little Rock, the Arkansas River Trail has inspired 17 annual bicycle events within the city, perhaps most notably the Big Dam Bridge 100 and Tour de Rock. It has increased the number of cycling clubs, cyclists within those groups, and organized weekly rides. It has also increased the market for local bike shops. The recreational bicycling culture catalyzed by the Arkansas River Trail is similarly increasing bicycle commuting, opening the door to greater health, quality of life, and transportation equity.

Rockwater Village is proud to promote the beauty of Central Arkansas through the Arkansas River Trail. Experience the best nature and recreation have to offer right from your front porch at Rockwater!
